Stucco Pasto - Textured Paint

I named this technique I developed using thickening agents “Stucco Pasto”

“Stucco” Italian for Plaster and “Pasto” from the Italian Impasto meaning applied thickly.

This unusual technique which uses specially thickened and coloured paste was customized to create a natural roughness and takes it’s reference from Spanish and Venetian Plaster techniques

So there is not only colour variety but also physical texture as well.

The texture on the wall fits well with the natural textures of this luxurious contemporary interior

the paste is made with strong adhesives the finish is extremely tough so ideally suited to high ware areas such bathrooms, hallways and public areas.

Here with this close up the abstract natural quality can been seen.

as you can see the colour matching is not a problem
